IWLA 2024 Conference Keynote Speaker
The Iowa World Language Association is extremely pleased
to welcome Meredith White as our 2024 Conference Keynote Speaker!
Meredith White is an Instructional Technology Coach and Spanish Teacher in Gwinnett County Public Schools, Georgia.
Meredith taught Spanish in both Tennessee and Georgia for 16 years. Focused on teaching novices, her work with students ingrained proficiency-based teaching, comprehensible input, technology, and helping make learning Spanish fun. In 2023, she transitioned to a support role as Instructional Technology Coach to help more teachers in all content areas with both their teaching and technology use.
Meredith’s excellent teaching and leadership in our field has not gone unnoticed. She was the 2019 Peachtree Ridge High School Teacher of the Year and the 2020 Georgia World Language Teacher of the Year. In 2024, Meredith was honored by the Southern Conference on Language Teaching (SCOLT) with their prestigious Founder’s Award.
She also teaches Technology in World Language Education at Kennesaw State University, hosts a podcast on Ed Tech, does consulting work, and frequently presents at local, state, regional, and national conferences.
